Las Vegas’ own Cyanide is here to bring back the glory days of heavy metal. To party like it’s 1987. For fans of Motley Crue, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Kiss, Ratt and Guns ‘N Roses among other legendary heavyweights. Their 11 song debut album Lethal Dose is full of high octane, sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll fueled tracks.
From the uptempo opener Bitches to Blame to sleazy album closer Whole ‘Lotta Trouble (dedicated to the legendary Sheri’s Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada), this album brings back the spirit and attitude of classics like Too Fast for Love, High ‘N Dry, Out of the Cellar and Appetite for Destruction.
Vocalist Rob Hussey and Guitarist Marc Andrews, the primary songwriters in the band, have created a timeless hard rock album that has been sorely missing in this world of computerized auto tune drivel. Tracks like Drinkin’, Pump it to Me (featuring John Zito of Count’s 77 on slide guitar), Lookin’ for a Good Time, first single What Comes Around Goes Around and the classic power ballad It’s a Long Road prove this band has what it takes to take 80’s hard rock into the next generation.
Lethal Dose was named 13th best album of 2015 by the Mighty Hair Metal Mansion on a list that included the newest albums from Queensryche and Stryper. Z’Rock’R magazine also named Lethal Dose #1 local album release of 2015 in Las Vegas. Their hit “What Comes Around Goes Around” was the #6 most requested song of 2015 on The KOMP 92.3 Homegrown Show with Laurie Steele, and Whole ‘Lotta Trouble was the #3 most requested song of 2016 on Homegrown.
Cyanide has wowed audiences with its original songs as well as spot on covers by Crue, Maiden, Queensryche, Priest, Kiss, Kix, Ratt, Krokus, Metallica, W.A.S.P. and more, while opening for such legends as Skid Row, Ratt, Geoff Tate, Krokus, Doro, Loudness, Steel Panther, Trixter, Stephen Pearcy, Bulletboys, Black ‘N Blue, Rough Cutt, Angel, Enuff ZNuff, Tuff, Femme Fatale, Cheap Thrill, Fan Halen and more. Now with the release of Lethal Dose, the band is poised to take the next stop from local phenom to national sensation.
